A. A 30-second event. 10-seconds before the event and 20-seconds after the event will be saved to that one event file. The recording includes video, audio, speed, event time, G-force data and GPS position. (Continuous video files can also be accessed)
A: The Kaiser Baas Road Recorder continuously records as you drive.
Continuous recording can be set between 55 minutes to 310 minutes
depending on the frames per second you choose. There is also memory
allocated to 24 x 30-second event files. Continuous recording and event
recordings are continuously overwritten sequentially. For more info click on the pdf below.
A: GPS accuracy depends on how many satellites the RoadRecorder is
connected to at that point-in-time. In general the accuracy is less
than 3km/h. In best conditions (GPS signal from 8 satellites) the accuracy
would be considerably improved, and could be as low as 0.1km/h.
A. You can download the recorded events (up to 24) directly to a USB Memory stick and playback on a PC. To view any of the continuous files you connect the RoadRecorder directly to a PC's USB port.
A. The RoadRecorder has 2GB internal memory. This is enough to record 24 x 30 second events (12 minutes) and 52 continuous recordings (up to 310 minutes).
A. The manual record button allows the driver to record an event manually. This is required if the car has not been involved in the incident because the G-sensor has not been activated.
A. If the GPS reception was poor whilst recording or your PC is not connected to the Internet then the map may not be shown
A. You can change the sensitivity of the RoadRecorder in the setup menu for all three coordinates. Refer to manual for details.
A. This indicates your driving efficiency to encourage better driving habits and help reduce fuel consumption. If there is no sudden breaking, sudden accelleration, sharp cornering, etc, you will get a good score. Red for poor, Blue for Average and Green for good.
A. If your car has an in-car display with video input you can watch back the events on that screen. The Play button on the RoadRecorder allows you to control the playback.
